Dear Readers,

Monday, Oct. 22, will be a big day for those of us who work on our customer Web site, support.sas.com. That's the day the world will see our redesigned site. Here's a quick overview of the four main areas of the site:

  • Knowledge Base is the self-help section of the site. It gives you immediate access to information like install center and product documentation.
  • Support is the place to go when you've looked for answers, but still need help. You'll find Tech Support in the area.
  • Learning Center builds upon your SAS knowledge, by giving you links to books, training, certification and more.
  • Community allows you to communicate with us and your peers. Blogs, user events, e-newsletters and more are housed in this area.

As with anything new, there may be some issues we need to work out, so I hope you'll be patient with us. You can help by letting us know if you find any bad links. And some of your old bookmarks may no longer be valid, so I encourage you to create new ones as you find pages that are helpful to you.

Don't forget -- check out the new support.sas.com on Monday, Oct. 22!

Editor, SAS Tech Report

Find Answers in Our New Knowledge Base
The answers are not new, but they will be organized into a central Knowledge Base. Here system requirements, installation and administration instructions, and product documentation are just keystrokes away.

New Focus for the Support Section
The new Support page will focus on directing you to the easiest path to the assistance you need. Many of the features on the old Technical Support page will be available directly from the redesigned site navigation.

Learning - Centered On You
The SAS Learning Center outlines a multitude of educational resources designed to help you develop and expand your SAS skills, and it's simply the continuation of our promise to serve you to the best of our abilities.

Community Section: Help and Be Helped
The Community section of support.sas.com will be the place to go when you want to find out what other people are doing with SAS Whether you want to read a newsletter article about a veteran SAS user, discuss the latest feature in ODS via online forums or attend a live event and learn from your colleagues, the Community section has it all.

Avoid Entropy with the Ordered List Using SAS Enterprise Guide
SAS Enterprise Guide has a hidden gem of a feature — ordered lists — which lets you build simple lists of tasks from your project that you want to run in a prescribed sequence.
