High School Programs

SAS strives to offer career development opportunities for students as early as possible. Our high school programs are designed to give students first hand interaction with state of the art technology, as well as professional mentorship. SAS’ high school programs provide students with work-related learning experiences in a positive corporate environment.

Academy of Information Technology Summer Program

Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) prepares students for post-secondary education and careers through a theme-based, contextualized curriculum approach. Students in the Academy are required to complete a programming sequence that includes SAS programming, Microsoft Visual Basic, C++, Java and advanced computer science.

SAS offers a number of summer employment opportunities especially for the participants of this program.

Cary Academy

Cary Academy provides a challenging, dynamic academic program that integrates the best of traditional education with new and emerging technologies; as a result, SAS and Cary Academy have partnered to provide an opportunity for Cary Academy students to be exposed to a global working environment, by participating with SAS employees on meaningful projects. Students have the opportunity to apply for technical summer positions within the organization.

North Carolina School of Science and Math

North Carolina School of Science and Math (NCSSM) is the nation's first public, residential high school with a specialized curriculum in science and math. NCSSM strives to meet North Carolina's need for responsible leadership in the development and application of science, mathematics and technology, and to act as a catalyst for educational improvement throughout North Carolina and the nation. SAS has joined with NCSSM to help develop the students who are the future of technology. Students at NCSSM have the opportunity to apply for technical summer positions at SAS to receive significant hands on experience and mentorship.

SAS Possibilities

SAS Possibilities was created as a partnership between SAS and the Communities in Schools program. This program is structured to provide students from the Communities in Schools program with a meaningful learning and mentoring experience in a positive corporate environment.
