Dear Readers,

Happy new year! And thank you for subscribing to the SAS Tech Report.

One of my goals for 2014 is to continue highlighting the teams and individuals who are changing the face of SAS customer support.

Margaret Crevar's blog posts about SAS software performance are among the most popular with SAS users. In 2013, she shared insights ranging from when to use solid state storage to deployment best practices.

Many of you already know Margaret from her active participation in user conferences. Here at SAS, she manages the R&D Performance Lab, which has two important roles: testing the performance of SAS releases during development and working directly with SAS customers to get the best performance possible from their SAS installations.

Margaret will be blogging again this year, so be sure to connect with her on the SAS Users Group blog. And don't miss her SAS administration presentations at SAS Global Forum 2014.

One last note Margaret would want me to share: Please bookmark this list of papers focusing on SAS performance. You'll find them useful and up-to-date.
