Cristina is currently a Senior Information Management Consultant supporting the SAS UK Consulting team in SAS solutions implementations. After a 7 years career as researcher at University of Liege in Belgium, Cristina joined the Romanian branch of SAS 8 years ago where she was in charge of leading SAS project teams delivering Business Intelligence banking solutions to clients in Bucharest. She then joined the SAS UK office in 2006 where her professional journey diversified into a number of roles: Senior Analytics Consultant, Project Manager, Project Support Executive, Business Improvement Representative and Resource Manager. She has delivered solutions for ITV, Daimler-Chrysler, DHL, RBS, Xerox, Takeda, and Société Générale amongst others.

Cristina is currently focused on soundly using and further developing her Data Integration, Business Intelligence, Platform Administration and Data Warehousing skills to successfully deliver SAS Business Analytics Platform projects. With a PhD in Data Mining, Cristina has a particular interest in the analytical sector, and has published a number of research papers, the most read journal paper being cited (according to Google) an impressive 163 times since its publication in August 2003.

Cristina holds 3 SAS certifications and 2 Project Management certifications. She was awarded a SAS UK Gold Inspire Award in January 2010. She is proud to be part of the SAS worldwide culture and team.


In my spare time...

Cristina enjoys following her sister, a professional tennis player, in her tournaments all over the world. She has experienced the atmosphere at 3 of the 4 grand slams and she hopes to see one day in person her sister win a few matches at the 4th one too, the Australian Open.

In her spare time, she acts as an on-going referee for a number of International Journals in areas related to data mining tools and applications.

Recently she applied and been offered a place at 2 world leading Business Schools in London and she decided to start an Executive MBA in March 2012 with one of them, CASS Business School.

She loves skiing in winter when she always choses new resort destinations as she likes to experience new slopes and breath taking views.
