SAS among Best Multinational Workplaces in Europe

Analytics leader climbs into top 20 of Great Place to Work listings

Analytics leader SAS has long been recognized worldwide as a leader and innovator in workplace culture, putting people first as a business imperative. The company has again been listed among Europe's Best Workplaces 2017 by Great Place to Work®, rising to #18 from #21 last year.

This year 2,340 companies employing 1.5 million employees participated in the largest annual survey in the region. SAS emerged among European leaders having ranked among the best workplaces in 10 countries across Europe over the past year.

SAS, a perennial on best workplace lists globally, maintained its ranking at #2 among multinational workplaces worldwide in 2016. The company’s commitment to work/life balance has existed since it was formed more than 40 years ago, and has also earned honours as an attractive workplace for millennials, women and graduates.

This approach means the company saves millions of dollars every year on recruitment and training costs associated with employee turnover. It also means customers know they can rely on long-standing relationships with SAS employees for expertise, innovation and service.

"I'm particularly pleased that SAS is once again showing itself to be a great workplace across an entire continent, not just at a national level," said Marshall Ayoade, Head of HR Partnering, SAS. "Our offices across the European region are making strides to work even more closely with each other, so we can benefit from more efficient and joined-up work practices. This is also happening across the whole of EMEA and globally. While recognizing the needs of all our employees at a local level, it’s also important they are given the opportunity to flourish working in a truly global organisation."

One example of this approach is SAS’ Inside Sales and Customer Contact Centre based in Dublin, which supports sales into markets across EMEA. This has grown substantially and caters for a different employee demographic, attracting young talent with a range of language skills. The office was recognized again this year as one of the best workplaces in Ireland.
