Jennifer Major

Jennifer has spent her entire career helping organisations use data to support fact-based decision making. This covers the whole process from data collection and cleansing, through creating analytical models, to deploying those models to support strategic and operational decision-making.

During her long career at SAS, Jennifer has worked across a wide range of industry sectors including telecommunications, pharmaceutical R&D, media, retail and services. She has also worked extensively with the energy sector. She relishes the opportunity to support organisations through this time of great change, as we make the transition from carbon-dependency to the use of renewable resources. Another area of keen interest for her is in helping organisations to make better use of their analytical resources across the different departments, by facilitating the implementation and sharing of best practise.

Jennifer has always enjoyed specialising in emerging ‘hot topics’ within the world of analytics. Most recently, with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence becoming fashionable (they’re just analytical techniques on steroids!) her focus has been on how to embed AI into operational processes. This includes the ability to speed up decision making using streaming analytics and decisioning technologies.
