This will allow you to use your software for a short period of time; there will be in a grace / warning period (see FAQ 8b) and warning messages may be observed in the SAS log. The date shown may be in the past due to the grace and warning periods allowed after such a date. A temporary licence is provided to allow for payment to be made.
7a. I'm getting warning messages in my log, what do they mean?
The warning messages mean that your licence has expired and payment is due in order to receive an up to date SAS licence key. These warning messages are usually displayed for 30 days at which point your SAS licence will expire.
7b. How long is the grace / warning period of the SAS licence key?
For the majority of products, the grace and warning periods are to allow for any timing issues in the payment and clearing of funds. The length is 30 days grace and 30 days warning and will expire at midnight.
7c. The warning messages in the log are causing issues
Please contact SAS Commercial and Legal, email: commercial.legal@sas.com.

When you initially licenced SAS you would have given a list of contacts and the Main SAS Representative that you assigned will receive the licence via email
8b. Who are the other contacts?
The other contacts are:

Please email us commercial.legal@sas.com or call us or call us on: +44 1628 490341
9. When is the Pre-Renewal notification sent (also known as the Future)?
This is sent out by email approximately 120 days ahead of the renewal date to assist our customers in kicking off their internal processes to raise a purchase order (if required) ahead of the invoice being issued.
Details of the licensed Software and renewal dates are stated in this document.
Also listed are the details of the various Software related contacts, e.g. SAS Representative and for invoicing. This is an opportunity to notify SAS of any changes so we can amend our records.
10. Procedure regarding Purchase Orders (PO's)
If your company requires our invoice to include a purchase order number, please email the details to: commercial.legal@sas.com
We can accept your purchase order on the condition that any conflicting or additional terms and conditions delivered with or contained in your purchase order shall not form part of the Licence Agreement(s) between SAS and your organisation. Any and all such conflicting or additional terms are hereby rejected by SAS. Only the terms of the applicable Licence Agreement(s) apply to your order. Please see the Licence Agreement(s) if you have any questions.
11. What happens in the case of non-payment?
In the event of non-payment, a short-term extension setinit will be provided upon receipt of written proof that the outstanding payment is to be made and the date on which it will be made.
12. What happens if I add or upgrade software on an existing licence mid-term?
SAS try to maintain the existing renewal date for your licences to avoid complication with multiple dates (and invoices and setinits) so in this instance a pro-ration formula is applied to calculate the fees due for the remainder of the period. For more details, please contact SAS Commercial and Legal using the form above.
13. I'm an independent SAS consultant, can I have access to SAS software?
Please contact caroline.scottow@sas.com
14. What if I'm using software pre-version 9.1.3?
The SAS licence key for version prior to SAS 9.1.3 will be issued in a different format, for any issues please contact us using the links above.
