Giada Scalpelli is a Senior Customer Advisor in Risk Management at SAS Italy, helping financial institutions strengthen their risk and finance capabilities across the entire credit lifecycle. She works with banks to address today’s most complex challenges, including IFRS 9, RWA and regulatory capital optimization, regulatory reporting, enterprise‑wide stress testing, climate stress test and Net Zero strategy, ALM and liquidity risk, and the growing role of AI in transforming risk management.

Giada partners with risk and finance experts to evolve their operating models, increase transparency and governance, and drive more forward‑looking and data‑driven decision making. Her focus is on turning regulatory requirements, supervisory expectations, and risk methodologies into measurable business outcomes: from improving capital efficiency to modernizing credit risk processes and enabling faster, more explainable decisions.

At SAS, she collaborates with cross‑functional teams to support large‑scale transformation programs, guiding banks as they modernize risk architectures, adopt advanced analytics, and align with the rapidly shifting regulatory landscape. Her work spans strategic advisory, solution design, and the practical application of analytics to real‑world business and regulatory priorities.

Giada holds a degree in Mathematics from the Università degli Studi di Padova and completed international research at Universiteit Leiden and CWI in the Netherlands. She is an active contributor to industry events and communities, speaking on the future of risk management, supervisory trends, and how AI and analytics are reshaping risk and finance functions.
