SAS Canada, the leader in analytics is No. 10 on the 2019 Best Workplaces in Canada 50 Best Large and Multinational Workplaces in Canada. SAS Canada is one of the top companies on the list, published by the Great Place to Work Institute® Canada, because of its commitment to employee satisfaction, community involvement and building a culture of innovation, creativity and work/life balance.

"SAS is honoured to sit amongst the top 10 Best Workplaces™ in Canada, said Cameron Dow, President, SAS Canada. "Adding this ranking to our Best Workplaces™ for Women and Best Workplaces™ for Giving Back honours is a testament to our culture and commitment to providing a work environment that makes all employees feel valued.”

The 2019 Best Workplaces™ in Canada list is compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute.  The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from confidential employee survey results and the remaining one-third comes from an in-depth review of the organization's culture. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to five trust-building dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie. This year's list received over 400 registrations and over 80,000 employees participated in the 2019 "Best Workplaces™ in Canada" survey, rolling out to impact over 300,000 Canadian employees.

Earlier in 2019 SAS Canada was recognized as a Best Workplace™ for Women. In 2018 SAS Canada launched the Women in Analytics Network to strengthen diversity in the analytics field. This program leverages the SAS values of authenticity, value for work/life balance and passion to build a community of women, inside and outside of SAS, who work to advocate for women in the field of analytics. The SAS Women in Analytics Network was also showcased as a best practice in joint research by Great Place to Work® and the WE EMPOWER programme of the UN Women, European Union and the International Labour Organization.

SAS Canada was also recognized as a Best Workplace™ for Giving Back in 2019. Offering paid time off for volunteering, SAS empowers its employees to serve the community while engaging in outreach opportunities as a company. With education as its primary philanthropic focus, SAS supports global education initiatives that promote learning and literacy for all, foster STEM skills and build diversity in the workforce pipeline.

"Our culture has always been an integral part of who we are as a company, said Adriana Diaz, Director Human Resources, SAS Canada and Latin America. “We remain committed to nurturing this culture and offering our employees an inspiring place to work.”
