Naeem Siddiqi is the author of Credit Risk Scorecards : Developing and Implementing Intelligent Credit Scoring, (Wiley and Sons, New York, 2005), Intelligent Credit Scoring : Building and Implementing Better Credit Risk Scorecards (Wiley and Sons, 2017), and various papers on credit and climate risk topics.

Naeem meets with senior executives and decision makers worldwide, and provides strategic advice to them on areas such as the development and validation of credit scoring models, climate risk, infrastructure planning for analytics, and retail credit risk strategy. He also heads SAS’s initiatives on climate risk. He has trained hundreds of bankers in over 25 countries on the art and science of credit scorecard development, and helps lenders develop better scorecards.

Naeem has an Honours Bachelor of Engineering from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine at the University of London, and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto. Naeem also serves as volunteer Vice Chair at the Olive Tree Foundation and is a member of the board at Windmill Microlending.

Peter Mercurio,
Senior Director of Pricing & Portfolio Optimization, CIBC

Peter Mercurio is a banking and risk management professional with 20 years of industry experience. He is currently Senior Director of Pricing & Portfolio Optimization at CIBC, leading a team of 10 data scientists and analysts. Peter holds a BMath in Combinatorics & Optimization from University of Waterloo, an MSc in Statistics from University of Toronto, and a PhD in Statistics from York University. He is an expert in statistical modeling, quantitative analytics, pricing optimization and credit risk, and a 3-times published author on the topic of portfolio optimization with applications. Peter is also an accomplished classical and jazz pianist of over 35 years, and has played in Toronto’s premier Beatles cover band The Rattles for the past 10 years

Eric Lacombe is a Lead Solution Architect at National Bank of Canada where he is responsible for the evolution of their corporate SAS platform. Eric brings a pragmatic approach to his current role based on his 28 years of experience in the banking, insurance, and telecommunications industries. His past roles in analytics provide him with a unique perspective from both the business and technological lens. He also holds university degrees in Law and in Mathematics & Statistics.
