Marinela Profi is the Global Market Strategy Lead for AI, Agentic AI and Generative AI at SAS, where she drives global market strategy, thought leadership and strategic positioning for the company’s AI portfolio, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI copilots, decisioning and trusted AI technologies.
With a multidisciplinary background spanning data science, analytics, AI strategy and product marketing, Marinela works at the intersection of technology, business and human behavior — helping organizations understand not only how to deploy AI, but how to do it responsibly and effectively at enterprise scale.
Before moving into global AI strategy, Marinela worked as a data scientist and analytics consultant, supporting organizations in transforming data into actionable and measurable business outcomes through machine learning, advanced analytics and AI-driven decisioning. Her ability to bridge highly technical concepts with executive-level business strategy has made her a recognized voice in the enterprise AI space.
Marinela is also an international keynote speaker and thought leader on topics including Agentic AI, Generative AI, AI governance, human-AI collaboration and the future of trust in the age of intelligent systems. She has spoken at major global technology events and universities, bringing a practical and often contrarian perspective on the future of AI — emphasizing the importance of governance, human oversight and measurable business impact over hype.
She holds a degree in Econometrics, a master’s degree in Statistics and an MBA, combining deep analytical expertise with strategic business leadership.
