SAS Senior Leadership


As part of SAS’ Worldwide Marketing division, Chase’s Global Marketing & Shared Services department is responsible for SAS’ go-to market strategy and execution. This includes global awareness, demand generation and retention marketing. Her team also manages global campaigns, digital channels, events, marketing sciences and customer referencing programs, and oversees the SAS customer contact center and Executive Briefing Center. Chase worked in product management and analyst relations at SAS before moving into a marketing leadership role.

Day oversees technology development within the SAS R&D division. In this role, he is responsible for defining and communicating the company’s technology vision based on market research and ongoing customer interactions. The Technology team encompasses product management, corporate development, industry solutions and technology governance efforts, as well as SAS’ innovation centers and centers of excellence.

Dobal is the Senior Vice President for SAS’ North EMEA region, where he handles the company’s operations in five subregions: Russia/CIS, Nordics, Western Europe, DACH and UK/Ireland. He is focused on helping SAS’ customers transform data into useful insights that help them enhance profitability and market differentiation. Prior to this role, Dobal was the Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific at SAS.

Dow is President of SAS' operations in Canada and a key contributor to the overall business strategy for the SAS subsidiaries. Prior to his current position, Dow was Vice President of Marketing, responsible for growing SAS' market share in targeted industries through the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy in Canada and Latin America.

Tom Fisher supports business development activities at SAS, helping the company manage an active set of alliance partners. In this role, he focuses on working with and strategically aligning with industry-leading cloud providers and other strategic partners. Previously, he was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at MapR Technologies, focusing on customer engagements and the company’s overall product strategy.

He is responsible for South EMEA’s business strategy and execution by aligning resources throughout the region for optimal performance. Gydien oversees the Middle East, Africa, Eastern and Central Europe, Southern Europe and Central Asia.

Haines is head of the global Risk Management division at SAS. He is responsible for the strategic direction, research and development, product management, consulting, and delivery of risk management and insurance solutions across the globe. Prior to SAS, he held several senior-level risk positions in banking, most recently at JPMorgan Chase, where he led the mortgage banking modeling and analytics function.

Harris is responsible for leading and providing SAS’ global vision and strategy for customer support. This includes working with her team to solve problems quickly and serve as trusted advisers for SAS customers. Harris’ responsibilities include the development of tech support to respond to the changing technology environment and the growth of SAS’ customer base and software products.

As the head of engineering at R&D, Harris oversees all aspects of research, development and delivery of the core SAS analytics products that serve as the underlying platform for SAS industry-specific solutions. He leads a global team dedicated to delivering the highest-quality products that are driven directly by the analytic needs of customers. Harris has more than 20 years of experience researching and developing analytic techniques, enterprise search technologies, distributed computing architectures, and user experiences for both the federal and commercial industries.

Henderson leads US sales teams across public sector and commercial industries. She oversees government, education, transportation, entertainment, services, communications, financial services, health and life sciences, energy, manufacturing and midmarket, as well as teams dedicated to customer advisory and operations. For the previous 17 years, Henderson was Vice President for SAS' US Government practice, where she led her business organization with a focus on innovation, helping customers reach their business objectives and, ultimately, improving the lives of all US citizens.

David Keim leads a team focused on protecting SAS’ intellectual property and maintaining its corporate infrastructure. His department supports the governance of SAS offices and affiliated businesses across the globe. He and his team provide legal advice to multiple divisions throughout SAS, including Research and Development, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Services, Information Technology and Global Channels.

Messier oversees a team responsible for core marketing functions, including product marketing, industry marketing, analyst relations and brand development. He and his team also support customer engagement efforts, which involve providing strategic direction on best practices for adopting and deploying SAS Analytics and artificial intelligence solutions. In addition, his department collaborates closely with the Sales, Product Management, R&D and Professional Services divisions.

He has been instrumental in creating degree and certificate programs with universities, custom talent development plans for businesses, and certifications that have become industry standards. O’Brien’s global team of more than 350 employees delivers educational opportunities in the latest technologies, in flexible ways to fit the learning and working styles of today.

Melissa Roy leads a team dedicated to supporting SAS’ global sales organization. In addition to managing the attorneys supporting the U.S., Asia Pacific and Middle East/Africa/Turkey regions, Melissa directs an innovative team that is responsible for the creation of licensing templates globally and the administration of the Legal Department’s knowledge sharing database. With SAS since 1998, Roy lived in Singapore for 2 years, during which she managed SAS’ Asia Pacific legal operations, and has considerable experience in international licensing issues.

Weisz leads the global sales, marketing and operations groups responsible for serving JMP customers, composed mostly of scientists, engineers and other data explorers. His years at SAS have also included working in product development and management in R&D. Prior to SAS, Weisz gained experience in semiconductor and automotive manufacturing and product development. He is a member of the ASA.

Zook leads regional sales and field operations across Asia Pacific, overseeing SAS’ business operations and the growth of its core analytics business in the region. He has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Prior to this role, he was Vice President of SAS Southeast Asia (ASEAN), as well as Senior Director of Sales for SAS Health and Life Sciences. His focus is on empowering customers to fully capture the huge potential of their data through the power of SAS analytics.
