Vincenzo Savarese is a Senior Solution Engineer at SAS, specializing in Data and Artificial Intelligence for Financial Services enterprises. He currently serves as Lead SE for Assicurazioni Generali, Italy’s largest insurance company, where he manages global technical engagement, coordinates worldwide workshops, and helps steer business development strategy while contributing to strategic oversight across 43 top-tier Platinum Accounts. His focus spans Data & AI propositions with a particular emphasis on Generative AI, AI agents, and MLOps, always with the goal of turning complex technology into tangible business value.​

In his role, Vincenzo acts as a trusted technical advisor to some of the largest financial institutions in Italy and EMEA. 

He has important experience engaging with C-level stakeholders, delivering strategic presentations and demos, and guiding organizations through high-impact Proofs of Concept and Proofs of Value that showcase clear ROI. 

Vincenzo’s technical background is rooted in computer engineering and software development. He holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, where he specialized in software development and completed a 10‑month experimental thesis in Python on integrating news sentiment analysis into quantitative stock trading systems. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.​

On the technical side, Vincenzo works across the full AI and data stack, from data engineering and distributed computing with Spark to MLOps, Generative AI, RAG, and Agentic AI. His development skills include Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React JS, SAS, and Linux scripting, complemented by cloud certifications such as AZ‑900 (Azure Fundamentals) and AI‑900 (Azure AI Fundamentals). 

This blend of engineering depth and solution-focused thinking allows him to design, communicate, and deliver AI initiatives that move seamlessly from prototype to production in demanding financial environments.
