After a decade and half using SAS at the heart of the energy industry Duncan joined the customer advisory practice at SAS in 2022. His goal is to take that hard earned, practical, domain-specific expertise and enable other enterprises to drive ROI faster.
He has led a diverse number of projects built and delivered using SAS software. Workforce planning for a large contact centre from call forecasting to shift optimisation. Energy demand forecasting for a portfolio of three million customers. Service optimisation and complaints reduction using natural language processing to identify the root cause of process failures. Multichannel marketing optimisation, increasing conversion rates and reducing customer churn.
At SAS his focus remains on the energy industry where he is working with some of the world's largest enterprises to more accurately control trading risk, ensure the safety of workers and minimise unplanned equipment downtime. As key participants in the new energy landscape he also works with large manufacturers. Enabling them to implement real time AI systems to minimise their energy requirements, optimise equipment uptime and guarantee quality.
As a real world SAS expert he has led cloud analytics transformations delivering practical, pragmatic solutions to real world challenges. Now his passion is to leverage this experience to bring SAS’ high trust, fully governed data and AI solutions to the energy ecosystem as a partner in growth.
