DATA MANAGER

Data Managers are responsible for the storage and accuracy of their organisation’s databases and warehouses. Data Managers use a range of tools including user interfaces such as SAS Data Integration Studio and SAS Information Map Studio. They write programs in both SAS DATA step and SQL and may also deploy OLAP or use the SAS Data Quality Solution.

Creating and Exploiting OLAP Using the SAS® System

This course teaches you how to understand, create, and exploit Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) using SAS. This course requires the SAS Intelligence Platform.

Learn how to:

• create SAS OLAP cubes derived from detail tables and star schemas
• generate aggregations using crossdimensional tuning and ARM analysis
• set access permissions for SAS OLAP cubes
• exploit SAS OLAP cubes
• use MDX in SAS Enterprise Guide to perform basic queries and create named sets.

Using SAS® Data Integration Studio to Build Data Marts

This course provides an overview of SAS Data Integration Studio, formerly known as SAS ETL Studio. This course requires the SAS Intelligence Platform.

Learn how to:

• set up and work in a change management environment
• define metadata for sources, targets, jobs, and OLAP cubes
• generate reports on target tables using SAS Data Integration Studio transformations
• design customized transformations using Transformation Generator and deploy jobs as stored processes
• schedule jobs.
