Description
This course will not only introduce you to the functionality of the SAS Intelligence Platform but also enable you to become familiar with how to approach administering the SAS Intelligence Platform. This course focuses on the following key areas: exploring the server, data, Web, and client tiers of the architecture; examining the purpose of each type of server; identifying the types of data accessible to SAS; understanding the components of the Web tier; examining how the client applications interact with the metadata server; understanding how to set up SAS and RDBMS data libraries; exploring the Metadata LIBNAME Engine; understanding how and when to pre-assign libraries; examining how authentication and authorization work; understanding how users are identified in the metadata; and exploring how to use metadata permissions to secure metadata.
Prerequisite Skills
Before attending this course you should read SAS Intelligence Platform: Overview (.pdf). This will be provided by SAS before the course.
