SAS® ModelOps Workshops
Wellington, Monday 27 November (10 a.m. and 2 p.m.)
Auckland, Tuesday 28 November (10 a.m.)
Developing and deploying models in a variety of technologies from open source (R and Python) to SAS can have its challenges:
- Analysts often arrive with skills that are open source strong, but this can result in siloed and difficult-to-manage analytics environments.
- Organisations have difficulty managing ever-increasing sets of models, tools and their dependencies.
- Increased risk in managing open source models from inception to deployment if there are no controls – with regulator pressure to ensure this risk is mitigated.
- Lack of automated model monitoring for degradation and no formal evaluation and retirement process.
- Without governance, key stakeholders hold off on deployment of models and often value isn’t realised at all.
How can SAS® Viya® help?
SAS Viya can address the problem of siloed open source model development and has multiple open source integration points to centralize and automate model development, management and deployment.
SAS has invested significant R&D into accommodating a variety of users who develop and manage models in their environments of choice. Therefore, developers do not need to change their process other than to add SAS Viya as an endpoint to their development process or directly use the SAS Viya open source functionality, if they choose.
Join one of our workshops to learn more about governance with SAS Viya, try it hands-on and navigate some of the increasing complexities of a rich technology ecosystem and very diverse analytical skill sets.
The workshops will be hosted in-person by our regional SAS senior ModelOps expert, who has a wealth of hands-on experience in SAS and open source:
