Ian serves as the Head of the SAS Global Academic Program – AP. The purpose of the program is to connect industry and academia to drive innovation in data, AI, and technology, as well as enable a future workforce of early career professionals.
Established to support and advance the teaching and learning of AI and analytics concepts within higher education curricula, the program aims to develop student knowledge and experience to address real-world business challenges, empower educators to create programs that prepare the future technology workforce and facilitate partnerships for talent development between industry and academia.
As the AP program lead, Ian is dedicated to collaborating with educational institutions to develop initiatives that address the data and AI skills gap. He also supports industry engagement with academia to strengthen data and AI culture and capability.
