How To Become a SAS Accredited Trainer
STEP 1
Apply to the program
Once you submit the interest form on this page, a SAS professional will follow up. You will be asked to submit a video with details about your level of SAS skills, certifications and teaching experience. They’ll assess your readiness, complete some due diligence and determine if it’s a good fit.
STEP 2
Become a SAS expert
Building a strong foundation in our technology and training materials is the key to success. You'll complete the enablement program to develop a deep understanding of the software capabilities and achieve the required SAS certifications to show your skills. We make certification easy with access to our course materials and software to practice and practice exams.
The specific certifications you need to earn may vary depending on the training courses you want to teach.
STEP 3
Become a skilled instructor
You need to know how to engage your students in person and virtually. You might attend a “train the trainer” course to gain basic training delivery skills. You will also have the opportunity to learn with SAS-specific instructor enablement materials, including condensed knowledge from experienced SAS trainers. By the end of the program, you’ll be able to confidently teach the course content and provide explanations, examples and practical exercises. Finally, you will demonstrate your abilities in an accreditation test teach.
STEP 4
Earn your accreditation
You did it! You earned elite accredited SAS trainer status and the badge to prove it. You are now a preferred training provider. The SAS team will get in touch as needed to deliver SAS training to learners around the globe.
STEP 5
Maintain your accreditation
You'll need to maintain your accreditation by staying up-to-date on our software updates and advancements. After two years, you will renew your accreditation. But don't worry – we provide opportunities to help you keep up. Participate in SAS training events, attend conferences and learn the latest in data analytics. We'll help you network with other trainers and SAS professionals to share knowledge, industry trends and training ideas.
