What does it take to get a job at SAS?

Do I have to know SAS programming to get a job at SAS?
No. We are always encouraged to see SAS Certifications on resumes, but for many jobs it’s not a requirement. The SAS language certification is something that you can gain while you are an employee here. As a SAS employee, you’re able to take SAS courses free of charge.
How do I apply for a job?
Can I apply for more than one job at a time?
Yes, you can. But you can only have one resume on file at a time. You don’t need to tailor your resume for each job you apply for. The most recent resume you upload will be the only one we can view.
Do you accept cover letters?
No. There will be opportunities to expand upon your qualifications during the interview process.
Can I visit a SAS campus?
For the security of our employees, our SAS campuses are not open to the public.
What is your interview process?
If you are selected to move forward to interview, you will be contacted by a member of the Talent Acquisition team. A candidate will typically go through three rounds of interviews. The first interview is usually conducted via phone or video with a member of the Talent Acquisition team. During the second interview, you’ll have a chance to chat with a member of the hiring team over the phone. This conversation is usually more technical and focuses on day-to-day responsibilities of the role. The final interview is usually onsite either at our world headquarters in Cary, North Carolina, or at one of our many regional offices around the world. We’ll ask questions about technical competencies, discuss values alignment to our organization and conduct role-based assessments. Please be aware that the interview process may vary depending on specific roles, teams and requirements.
Does SAS have a dress code?
We embrace individuality, authenticity and personal style. If you are preparing for an interview, we recommend business casual attire. However, please use your discretion and come dressed in what you feel most comfortable in for an interview.
How can I find out the status of my application?
We have a Talent Acquisition team who reviews each, and every, resume. It may take us some time to provide an initial update and we appreciate your patience. At any time, you can log into your dashboard on our Careers site to get a general status update. If you have already started the interview process, feel free to reach out to your Talent Acquisition contact. Regardless of the hiring decision, we’re committed to notifying all candidates with a final status update for their application..
How do I update my profile information, including my resume?
Log in to your existing profile and then select the "Update your profile" button. Enter any updates to your personal information or resume, and click the Update Profile button.
Do you have the need for help from an external recruiting agency?
Thank you for your interest in assisting SAS with our hiring needs. However, our on-staff resources are successful in meeting our hiring goals.
SAS is committed to the privacy of our candidates. It has come to our attention there are people posing as recruiters online attempting to get financial information from candidates who believe they are applying for jobs at SAS. Recruitment fraud is a sophisticated scam offering fake job opportunities to job seekers. This type of fraud can happen through fake websites, social media, or through email accounts claiming to be from or on behalf of a company. The scammers often request sensitive, personal and financial information, and payments as part of the fake recruiting process.
All valid SAS job openings are located at globalcareers-sas.icims.com. SAS only sends emails from verified "sas.com” email addresses and never asks for sensitive, personal information or money. Job offers are not made without a formal interview process.
