Inspirational work plus collaborative, creative culture makes SAS a Best Workplace in Europe

By motivating and engaging employees through an innovative culture and meaningful work, SAS has once again ranked among the top workplaces in Europe by Great Place to Work®. Based on a survey of more than 1.3 million employees in the European region, this list assesses workplaces where employees have a consistent positive experience of trusting their leaders, enjoying the people they work with, and having pride in what they do. SAS is internationally recognized as an organization that fosters innovation, creativity and inclusion.

From the start, SAS has invested in a culture that prioritizes employee happiness through a world-class environment that provides work/life balance while encouraging creativity and boosting energy. This commitment can be seen through SAS’ investments in modern, collaborative workspaces and generous employee benefits.

SAS ranked on numerous top workplaces lists across Europe, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom. In addition to recently being named a top workplace in Asia, SAS was also a World’s Best Workplace.

"We congratulate the 2019 100 Best Workplaces in Europe for their leadership building Great Places to Work For All,” said Michael Bush, CEO at Great Place to Work. “These companies are global leaders in creating highly inclusive workplaces that are better for business, better for people and better for the world.”

About the Best Workplaces in Europe List

Great Place to Work® identifies the top organizations that create great workplaces in the Europe region through publishing the annual Best Workplaces in Europe list. The list recognizes companies in four size categories: Small (under 50 employees); Medium (between 50 and 500 employees); Large (more than 500 employees); and Multinational. To be considered for inclusion, companies must appear on one or more of our national lists in the 19 countries represented on the list (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, The Netherlands, United Kingdom). Multinational organizations must have at least 1,000 employees worldwide, with at least 40% (or 5,000) of those employees based outside the headquarters country, and they must appear on at least three national lists.

Multinationals also receive additional credit for their efforts to successfully create an excellent workplace culture in multiple countries in the region. The data used in the calculation of the regional list comes from national lists published in 2018 and early 2019.
