REQUIREMENTS*
- At least one required or recommended reading material that uses SAS per course. Does not need to be SAS-owned material.
- Programs require that students select any one of the following hands-on components:
- Lab with hands-on skill development where SAS is the primary tool (50%).
- Practicum, thesis or capstone that uses SAS (may also fulfill course credits).
- Course project that uses SAS.
- Internship that uses SAS.
- Paper, presentation or poster accepted at a regional, national or international conference or analytics competition (e.g., SAS Curiosity Cup or a SAS users group).
- Innovative learning approach proposed by the program and approved at the discretion of SAS.
- Lab with hands-on skill development where SAS is the primary tool (50%).
- Students should have a clear understanding of the value of SAS certification and are encouraged to access SAS Skill Builder for Students.
- At least one graded assignment with applied SAS usage per course.
- Students are encouraged to attempt any SAS certification exam.
- At least six credit hours of required courses that use SAS in each course at least 50% of the time, measured by the number of weeks.
