SAS® Global Certification Program
The SAS® Certification Maintenance Program
SAS® recognizes that your certification is not only a validation of your skills, but also a milestone on the path to lifelong learning. As a SAS® Certification holder, we want to make it convenient to maintain the value of your certification(s) and keep your skillset relevant as technologies evolve.
The SAS® Certification Maintenance program provides certification holders with exclusive access to flexible learning resources to keep their knowledge up to date. These resources, among other learning options, provide the SAS® Certification Maintenance Requirement (CMR) credits needed to maintain a certification with the benefit of not having to retest as new SAS® software versions are released.
SAS® Certification Maintenance Requirements
SAS® Certification candidates holding select certifications will be required to maintain their credentials by earning 30 SAS® CMR credits every 36-months beginning the date the credential is earned.
CMR credits can be earned a variety of ways by combining various activities approved by the SAS® Education and Certification organization.
To begin earning your CMRs:
- Refer to the email you received when you earned your certification or visit the SAS® Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and log in with your SAS® Profile credentials.
- Review the CMR options and select a combination worth 30 or more CMRs.
- Complete the training or other activities you have selected.
- Enter and track those activities in the SAS® VLE.
- Upon completion of the required amount of CMRs, you will receive a certificate from the SAS® VLE validating your CMR completion.
- Next, visit SAS® Certification Manager to upload your certificate.
- Upon validation, your certification expiration date will be extended to cover the next 36-month CMR period.
