Participants will have access to:

  • Our Virtual Learning Portal for learning resources.
  • The cloud environment running SAS Viya (more details about the environment will be posted closer to the start date).
  • Each industry track team will be assigned a mentor.
  • The SAS Hacker’s Hub.

What training is available to participants and when?

All participants will have limited-time access to the Virtual Learning Portal to build data and AI skills, from July–Oct. 31.

What skills are needed to participate?

SAS Hackathon teams benefit most from a mix of technical and business skills. For example, a good team may include a developer/data scientist together with a businessperson or storyteller. From a technical standpoint, it's helpful to have a team member who is familiar with SAS and a team member with open source skills. Team members can brush up on these skills using the available training.

For students, we encourage an openness to learning.

What happens with my industry track team's intellectual property (IP) after SAS Hackathon?

Industry track teams own their IP and have the opportunity to pursue commercialization. Read the Terms & Conditions to learn more.
