How does it work?
The SAS Hackathon Boot Camp is a dynamic, hands-on experience designed to spark collaboration and innovation using cutting-edge data and AI on SAS® Viya®.
- Get started
Begin by selecting your first assignment to dive into practical learning. Each task is designed to take about 30 minutes, giving you the chance to explore, experiment and sharpen your skills. - Time check
At the 25-minute mark, a bell will ring – your signal to wrap up and rotate to a new station if you’re continuing your Boot Camp journey. - Track your progress
Before moving on, make sure to get a stamp on your Report Card. Then jump into your next challenge and keep the momentum going! - Real-world challenges
You’ll work with a simulated data set that mirrors real-world scenarios, guided by SAS experts from R&D, Product Specialization and our Advisory organization. - Who can join
This event is open to customers, partners and students from any industry. Whether you’re a seasoned coder or prefer low-code/no-code tools, there’s a path for you. - What to expect
Compete, collaborate, have fun – and don’t forget to earn your diploma and aim for prizes! The specific assignments, use case and data set will be revealed closer to the event.

How to sign up?
When registering for SAS Innovate, select the SAS Hackathon Boot Camp breakout session.
If you’re already registered, click the Already Registered button above to modify your registration and add Hackathon Boot Camp.
What should I bring?
Bring your laptop; your big, beautiful brain; and three hours to hack. SAS will provide access to Viya in the SAS Cloud.
Participants will be teamed up during the session.
What will I get if I win?
The best team will be rewarded with the SAS Hackathon Ideation Game.
All participants will receive an honorary diploma of completion and a fabulously stylish and enviable SAS Hackathon Boot Camp T-shirt.
