Meet the Experts
Yi Jian Ching
Based in Sydney, Yi Jian is in an advisory role where he helps various organisations across Asia-Pacific, in banking and insurance, and government agencies, drive value from their analytics.
Yi Jian advises and provides technical expertise on key topics such as ModelOps, Generative AI, analytics and machine learning, and ResponsibleAI. This includes work such as advising regulatory bodies on how to create transparent ResponsibleAI processes with operational guardrails, as well as experience developing GenerativeAI applications.
Jacky Long
Advisory Solutions Architect, SAS
Jacky Long
Jacky specialises in ModelOps and responsible AI. In her 25-plus years at SAS, she has implemented analytic life cycle solutions with large banks in Brazil and Ireland, several telecoms in the US and Philippines, a Korean semiconductor manufacturer, and multiple US government agencies to name a few. Her latest adventures include GenAI, SAS Workbench and synthetic data generation.

Darcy Lester
Having an interest and experience in both quantitative and qualitative analysis, Darcy found themself drawn to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare for its reputation as an analysis powerhouse. Darcy brought a love of project work and innovation, and found a community within the SAS coders at the Institute. This community has been essential in their development towards being skilled in solving complex problems with clever and dynamic solutions.

With 15 years of experience in data science, Jonathan Butow leads innovation efforts across Australia and New Zealand for SAS. Over the past decade, he has worked with more than 60 government agencies, driving data-driven solutions and fostering technological advancements across various sectors.

Lily Clarke
Lily Clarke is our local lead for healthcare and all things approachable analytics at SAS. She is a strong advocate for responsible AI, believing strong AI and data literacy is one of the leading factors to gain equality in the technology arena. Having a background in Medical Mathematics, Lily intimately understands the importance of transparency in AI and data and applies this through her leadership in data visualisation, and skills uplift with SAS's academic partners across Australia and New Zealand.
