Event Overview

This high-level event, co-organized by ACFE Belgium and SAS, brings together policymakers, investigators, auditors, prosecutors and technology leaders to discuss the future of EU anti-fraud cooperation, enforcement and governance at a moment of significant institutional and technological change.

The program features keynote contributions from Annemie Turtelboom, Member of the European Court of Auditors, former Belgian Deputy Prime Minister, former Minister of Justice and author, and Yves Van Den Berge, European Prosecutor (EPPO), offering perspectives from both the audit and prosecutorial sides of the European anti-fraud landscape.

As the European Union intensifies discussions on the protection of the EU budget and the future shape of its anti-fraud ecosystem, questions around institutional cooperation, investigative capacity, accountability and technological preparedness are becoming increasingly important.

The program combines perspectives from European Institutions and practitioners with operational insights on artificial intelligence, advanced analytics and emerging technologies in fraud detection and investigation.

The event will also feature the presentation of key findings from the 2026 ACFE–SAS Anti-Fraud Technology Benchmarking Report.
