Dr Botlhale Tema

Scientist, Author, Consultant, Entrepreneur

Dr Tema is a Rural Development and Social Entrepreneur, who is passionate about community upliftment by addressing rural problems, through the transfer of relevant technologies, for example, farming through the use of hydroponic technology and bridging the digital divide in order to develop digital literacy amongst rural communites. She is also involved in facilitating the participation of communities as independent solar energy producers.

Dr Tema is also a retired Director of the African Union (AU) Commission and Chief Director responsible for international cooperation at the Department of Science & Technology. She was the first Secretary General of the South African National Commission for UNESCO who started her career as a school teacher and university lecturer.

Dr Botlhale Tema is a published author and a proud grandmother of two little girls.

Mary Steward

Mary's life’s journey has led to a deep passion for people, understanding what drives us collectively but also seeking to help identify what makes each one of us unique. Her series of one woman shows references life stories, characters and observations that relate back to the theme or idea being explored. Steward's shows are autobiographical storytelling that make people laugh and leans towards funny. The truth is funny and it makes you think.
