As Senior Director of SAS R&D and the developer of SAS/STAT, Bob Rodriguez brings 31 years of experience in SAS statistical programming to New Zealand for a presentation on the new direction of SAS/STAT product.
The latest SAS/STAT offering brings valuable new techniques to all users of SAS statistical software. In his presentation, Rodriguez will provide an overview and introductory examples for each new focus area of the software including:
- Updates for survival analysis including nonparametric methods for interval censoring and models for competing risks.
- Extended multiple imputation methods with the addition of sensitivity analysis.
- New approaches to consumer research with Bayesian discrete choice models.
- Path diagrams for structural equation modeling.
- Item response models for educational assessment.
In addition to these topics, Rodriquez will outline his new strategy for accelerating the pace of SAS/STAT releases. This will include a sneak preview for the future SAS/STAT release which will bring additional features for addressing data analysis along with other important updates for statistical customers.
