The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision's standard No. 239 (BCBS 239) is crucial for a stable banking environment and financial industry. We began our SAS® Viya® journey in 2023 with SAS Studio Flows deployed to execute the ETL workload for the Credit Risk department. We are now evaluating the SAS Information Catalog REST API to implement data validity checks at different stages of the ETL pipeline. We aim to detect and fix issues early in the data life cycle before any adverse impact is felt by the downstream analysis and reporting activities. In this presentation, we will describe our approach, which uses Data Discovery Agents of the SAS Information Catalog to capture data quality metrics as part of the ETL pipeline.
5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Pizza, refreshments and networking
