Leaders in Financial Risk Management Dinner Series

IFRS 17 - How to Prepare for the Impact and Embrace New Opportunities

Sr. Executive Dinner & Discussion

Wednesday, March 6th | 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.| George Restaurant | Toronto

While IFRS 17 is an accounting standard, it is transformational, representing a convergence between financial accounting and actuarial practices.  It radically changes how performance will be measured and reported.  The success of IFRS 17 depends on not only seamlessly bringing together actuarial and accounting systems but integrating data from many sources, often fragmented & dispersed.  The enormity of the task and the implications on the financial operating model cannot be understated.

At this intimate dinner we will discuss the evolving IFRS 17 landscape and share learnings and innovative approaches as insurers move closer to the compliance date. Guest contributors, Simon Curtis, Chief Actuary, Munich Re and Stefan De Lombaert, IFRS 17 Lead, SAS will provide global perspectives and trends on IFRS 17.

Places are limited senior level executives from banking and insurance and will be offered on a first come first served basis.
