Bridging the Gap: Gender, AI and Strategies to Overcome Bias in the Future of Work
Gender bias in AI systems is a pressing issue with significant implications for the future of work. As AI technologies become increasingly integrated into various aspects of society, including recruitment, performance evaluations and decision-making processes, it is essential to address the biases inherent in these systems to ensure fairness. Overcoming gender bias not only improves workplace dynamics but also enhances innovation, productivity, and overall organisational performance.
Ladies Long Lunch
Women make up only 29% of the tech workforce - our role is crucial for innovation and progress. Although there have been some advancements, data from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency reveals a significant underrepresentation of women in key decision-making positions in Australia, with only 13% of CEO positions, and 33% of Executive and General Manager positions being held by women. This lunch delved into the vital role of today's female leaders in inspiring and nurturing emerging talent.
