Shaping Tomorrow:
The Impact of Today's Female Leaders on Future Talent and Diversity
Overview
Women make up only 29% of the tech workforce - our role is crucial for innovation and progress. Although there have been some advancements, data from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency reveals a significant underrepresentation of women in key decision-making positions in Australia, with only 13% of CEO positions, and 33% of Executive and General Manager positions being held by women. Companies in the top quartile for gender diversity on their executive teams were 21% more likely to experience above-average profitability according to a recent study by McKinsey & Company. Addressing this disparity is essential to reducing the pay gap, whilst also future proofing Australia as our population ages.
