Managing Director, Finland
Kimmo Havu is the Managing Director of SAS Institute in Finland. He is responsible for maintaining and developing SAS’ strong relationship with its Finnish clients as well as ensuring the welfare and continued professional development of SAS’ local workforce.
“Successful Finnish companies have built a strong market presence based on our work force’s educational and technical capabilities. However, to ensure continued competitiveness, they need to ensure that they are fully optimised and ready to exploit bleeding edge technologies including Artificial Intelligence. Data analytics play an integral part in achieving these goals and I see great opportunity for SAS to help Finnish companies undergo the needed modernisation and digitization,” said Kimmo Havu.
Prior to joining SAS, Kimmo spent 18 years in different roles at IBM, including a position as Director of the analytics business unit in the Nordics and a year as Executive Assistant to IBM Europe General Manager based in Madrid, Spain.
Outside of the office, he spends time on team sports such as football and hockey and is an avid traveller.
