Carl Farrell leads SAS teams across more than 60 countries around the world. He’s charged with driving consistent revenue growth for SAS, and ensuring that customers get significant value from SAS products and services. He is the chief architect behind the long-term vision and operational strategy to assure that growth and market potential are achieved.

“SAS wants to help organizations get quantifiable benefits from their big data assets,” said Farrell. “Data usage is becoming more complex while the need to respond quicker to changing market demands and customer expectations is increasing. High-performance analytics is the answer. My position at SAS allows me to put my 30-plus years in the technology industry to good use by setting the direction and strategy our customers need to embrace big data analytics.”

Farrell joined SAS in 2002 as President of SAS Canada and Latin America, rising to Executive Vice President of the Americas in 2008 and his current role in 2015.

Farrell has held executive positions at Idiom Technologies, JD Edwards and JBA PLC, culminating in over three decades of global experience in the software and related services industry — spanning business operations, product development and sales. In 2014, Farrell was appointed to the board of directors of Altus Group, a publicly traded company in the commercial real estate sector.

Farrell was educated at Wulfrun College in Wolverhampton, England.
