SAS No. 2 among Best German ICT employers

SAS, one of the world's largest independent software makers, once again confirmed its reputation as a top employer in Germany. The company, with German headquarters in Heidelberg, placed second in the latest ranking of "Best Employer in ICT 2014," in the category of 100-500 employees. The employer rankings for the German IT industry is presented by the research and consultancy Great Place to Work® Institute.
According to BITKOM, the number of open IT positions across the overall German economy was as high as 39,000 in September 2013. As a result, companies are intensifying their efforts to win and retain employees over the long term. For SAS, however, such efforts are nothing new. Job satisfaction has been the spotlight since the company's founding in 1976.
Recently, the company was voted # 2 on the Fortune list of "Best Companies to Work For in the U.S.” and #2 in the global survey of " World's Best Multinational Workplaces," both from the Great Place to Work Institute.
