Lucas Kelly
Senior Data Scientist, World Wildlife Fund
Lucas Kelly is a Senior Data Scientist at the World Wildlife Fund, where he analyzes big data and builds predictive models to drive strategic decisions for fundraising and marketing initiatives. He leverages his expertise in SAS programming, machine learning and artificial intelligence to help WWF achieve its conservation goals. Lucas is also a Data Science Instructor at Data Society, where he teaches courses on data visualization, machine learning and database management to diverse audiences, including government agencies and private companies. He also serves as a Contributing Writer for FanGraphs, where he applies his analytical skills to baseball, demonstrating his passion for data-driven insights across various domains.
In addition to his work in the data science field, Lucas is an avid environmental advocate, having founded outdoor science programs at both Lowell School and Voyagers' Community School. Lucas holds a master’s in teaching from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland.
