Roberto Verganti is the Professor of Leadership and Innovation at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, where he directs the Leadin'Lab, the laboratory for LEADership, Design and Innovation. His research focuses on how leaders create meaningful innovations, exploring how to nurture radically new visions, and make those visions a reality. His studies lie at the intersection between leadership, design and technology management. Roberto serves on the European Design Leadership Board of the European Commission and has advised executives at manufacturing and service firms.

Executive Vice President, COO and CTO, SAS
As COO and CTO, Oliver Schabenberger sets the technology direction for SAS and executes the company’s strategic direction and business priorities. He oversees multiple divisions within SAS, including R&D, Sales, Marketing, Information Technology and Customer Support, as well as divisions focused on solutions for IoT, financial risk management and cloud. Schabenberger joined the SAS R&D Division in 2002 and was named CTO in 2016. Prior to SAS, he served as Associate Professor of Statistics at Virginia Tech, where he earned his PhD in 1995. He frequently writes on emerging technology for publications such as Forbes.com and holds several patents on software design and algorithms.

Randy Guard is responsible for the SAS brand, providing global, strategic direction and marketing vision for SAS® products and solutions. He oversees several operational business units, including product management, global marketing, sales enablement, communications and creative services. Guard has many years of consulting, marketing and product development experience. He is responsible for the SAS portfolio, which spans analytics, data visualization, data management, business intelligence and industry solutions. Guard’s extensive consulting background, along with a strong grasp of market dynamics, allows him to align marketing initiatives that position SAS at the forefront of new developments such as IoT, cybersecurity and cloud.
Mary Beth Moore
AI and Language Analytics Strategist, SAS
Mary Beth Moore is an Artificial Intelligence and Language Analytics Strategist at SAS. She is responsible for providing strategic marketing direction and leads global SAS messaging for artificial intelligence and text analytics. She frequently presents and writes on a wide range of technology topics, including AI, NLP and SAS’ Data for Good initiatives.
Prior to SAS, Moore served in the United States Marine Corps and spent several years as an intelligence analyst and senior instructor in the US Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, primarily supporting expeditionary units and special operations. She is also a special education advocate, a disability rights consultant and a believer in community inclusion for people of all abilities.
