Book Reviews for:  An Introduction to SAS Visual Analytics: How to Explore Numbers, Design Reports, and Gain Insight into Your Data

Reading the book was very useful to learn about SAS Visual Analytics and, of course, SAS® Viya®. The thirteen chapters of this book are very dense in relevant knowledge. The book is divided into four main parts that target different readerships: novice users, intermediate users, SAS administrators, and system architects with advanced concepts like keeping data live into memory. It is rare to find these four professionals in the same person. To me, there would be enough material for four books. To this extent, I recommend reading the book one chapter at the time on a need-to-know basis and not from cover to cover. This is an excellent reference book on SAS Visual Analytics to keep on hand.

Ryan Kumpfmiller and Tricia Aanderud, who both love to assist many users in the SAS Communities on a daily basis, are seen as experts on SAS Visual Analytics. They have had excellent support from Rob Collum, a SAS Principal Architect, to write this book that should not be missed by anyone working or planning to work with SAS Visual Analytics.

I expect that this book will guide many new SAS 9 and SAS Viya users during their first steps and will guide more experienced users to leverage their knowledge of the solution, and lead them to a better understanding between SAS administrators and the users of SAS Visual Analytics.
