SAS Netherlands again awarded “Best Employer in Netherlands”

For the second consecutive year, SAS Netherlands has been named Best Employer in the Netherlands. The Best Employers list is compiled based on research from Great Place to Work® Netherlands. SAS reached the top position for the company’s mix of inspiring work, open communication, good working conditions and a pleasant balance between work and home life.

"I am proud that we have once again been voted best employer in the Netherlands,” said Karel Kinders, Managing Director of SAS Netherlands. “The study confirms that our employees enjoy a great working environment in which not only they benefit, but so do our customers and partners. Balancing our informal culture with a high degree of professionalism ensures that we enjoy the path toward the best results."

The Great Place to Work (GPTW) Institute compiles lists in 47 countries of organizations that qualify for the Best Employer designation. GPTW’s objective methodology is the standard for defining great workplaces and an employee-oriented organizational culture. Annually, 6,000 organizations worldwide participate in this study, measuring the confidence of approximately 12 million employees. SAS, which scores high in numerous countries, has been among the top four in the Netherlands for five years.

Human capital

"The idea behind the Great Place to Work concept has everything to do with our HR policy," says Remco Korzaan, HR Director at SAS Netherlands. "We see our human capital as the basis of our success. Our solutions require a lot of specific knowledge. So we invest in our staff – but we also expect them to continually invest in themselves.
