Is this program right for me?

The data science certification program is for those who want to develop the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to work as a data scientist. It is best suited for those with a strong background in applied mathematics. A master’s degree or higher in a quantitative or technical field is recommended, but not required. 

What are the prerequisites?

To enroll in the program, you need at least six months of programming experience in SAS or another programming language. If you're just getting started or need to brush up on your SAS programming skills, the SAS Programming for Data Science Fast Track will give you a good foundation.

We also recommend that you have at least six months of experience using mathematics and/or statistics in a business environment. You can get started with the Statistics 1: Introduction to ANOVA, Regression or Logistic Regression course, which is available as an instructor-led or free online e-learning course.

What exams do I pass to receive the credential?

What’s included with the self-paced e-learning program annual license?

SAS Certified Data Scientist self-paced e-learning program includes:

  • 294 e-Learning hours
  • 200 Virtual Lab hours

Please note that the self-paced program format requires you to purchase certification exams and practice exams separately.

License duration for the program: 365 days.

Are practice exams available?

Yes! Students in the self-paced format can purchase practice exams from Pearson Vue.

How do I access SAS software?

Access to SAS software is included in the self-paced e-learning programs. Students can purchase additional lab time if needed.

How long will it take to complete the program?
