SAS jumps to 14 in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For 2012
SAS rated 'extraordinary' with 87 per cent of employees citing improvement since 2011 in all eight survey areas, up fifty-one places from last year
Marlow, UK (Mar. 05, 2012) – SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, has been recognised as one of the Top 100 Best Companies to Work For 2012 by The Sunday Times, jumping 51 places from 2011 to rank 14th. SAS also achieved the Best Companies' Three Star Status – the highest possible rating – calling the company 'extraordinary'.
This award comes hot on the heels of SAS being named in the top three of FORTUNE magazine's annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" list for the third year running. This is the sixth time that SAS has made The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For list, highlighting its ongoing commitment to employee satisfaction and workplace engagement.
This year almost 1,100 UK organisations applied to achieve Star Status with just 113 (including SAS) achieving Three Star Status. Around 87 per cent of SAS employees surveyed say there has been improvement since 2011 in all eight areas. SAS was recognised for its contribution to the community in particular, ranking 4th under the "Giving Something Back" category. The organisation has also been praised for staff benefits including an employee assistance programme, health screening, contribution to gym membership, sabbaticals, support and sponsorship for academic qualifications such as MBA programmes and flexible working arrangements.
