SAS ranks No. 2 among the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces

Innovation, customer satisfaction are the product of satisfied workforce

Once again, experts are hailing analytics leader SAS as one of the best places to work in the world. With a culture that fuels innovation and creativity, SAS ranks No. 2 among the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces from Great Place to Work. For the fifth consecutive year, SAS holds one of the top two spots, underscoring the company’s consistent ability to inspire and energize employees worldwide.

“SAS® software changes peoples’ lives for the better,” said SAS CEO Jim Goodnight. “Our employees can see that the work they do makes a difference, which motivates them to continually create new and better technology. This simple philosophy ensures that SAS retains its intellectual capital. With employee turnover dramatically lower than the industry average, customers know they can rely on long-standing relationships with SAS employees for continuous and evolving expertise, innovation and service.

For example, The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has been collaborating with SAS to modernize disaster response around the world. When disasters struck the Philippines and Nepal, SAS worked with IOM to better understand data from hundreds of shelters and camps to help with shelter, safety and rebuilding.

So far this year, in addition to the US, SAS has also been among the top workplaces in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, The Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. The company ranked No. 1 in Greece. In addition, SAS was No. 6 among Best Multinational Workplaces in Europe. The Great Place to Work Institute has recognized SAS consistently since the organization was founded in 1980 to identify companies that have created great workplaces.

To be eligible for the ranking, companies must appear on five or more national Great Place to Work lists in the past year and have more than 5,000 employees worldwide. At least 40 percent of employees must work outside the company's home country. Companies on the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces list are rated highly by their employees, and have excellent HR policies and practices that support a culture of trust.
