About the Experts


Dan Kelly
Director of Consulting, SAS

Dan Kelly is Director of Analytical Consulting in SAS’ Advanced Analytics Lab, where he works with several teams to bridge the gap between data and potential uses of that data for marketing, fraud detection, risk assessment, etc. He began his career at SAS in the Education Division, where he learned how to be a road warrior, while also writing course notes on using SAS for statistical analysis, data mining and experimental design. Previously, Kelly was an analyst at a credit card bank, and supported marketing and risk efforts for consumer and business credit cards, as well as imposing some experimental design rigor on standard direct-mail marketing campaigns. He has a master’s degree in applied statistics from North Carolina State University.
 


Catherine Truxillo
Director of Analytical Education, SAS

Catherine Truxillo has written or co-written SAS training courses for advanced statistical methods, including: multivariate statistics, linear and generalized linear mixed models, multilevel models, structural equation models, imputation methods for missing data, statistical process control, design and analysis of experiments, and cluster analysis. She also teaches SAS courses using SAS/IML®, SAS® Enterprise Guide®, SAS® Enterprise Miner, SAS Forecast Studio and JMP® software.
