SAS Institute to create pan-Nordic organisation

SAS Institute is planning to create a new pan-Nordic organisation to better reflect the needs of the region’s customers and to take advantage of synergy effects across areas of expertise.

Going forward, the business will be structured according to the primary industries serviced in the Nordics by the world leader in business analytics. This will ensure that top industry experts are available to serve clients in the entire region as needed. Mark Wilkinson will continue to serve as Vice President for the region.

The industry units are:

  • Banking
  • Insurance
  • Communications, Retail & Services
  • Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Energy & Utilities
  • Government & Healthcare

Each unit will be lead by an Industry Leader with specific insight in the sector and with a dedicated staff of experienced business and software experts.

“Just as many of our clients, SAS Institute has been undergoing a globalisation process in which national boundaries become less important and the ability to seamlessly serve our clients according to their sector needs take first priority. We believe that our new Nordic organisation will be even better equipped to give our clients the local service they know and expect, while ensuring that we are always able to counsel with the latest in business analytics and technology insights,” said Mark Wilkinson.

SAS Institute has five offices across the Nordic region, which will continue to serve clients locally and with deep insight in the country-specific competitive environment as well as regulatory and legislative conditions related to their business challenges.
