About this paper
Read the results of this research conducted by the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud to better understand how, and to what extent, insurance companies use anti-fraud technology. In this brief, the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud addresses the anti-fraud technologies insurers currently use and what they are considering using, as well as how that has changed since the original 2012 survey of property/casualty insurers. Overall findings show that strategies with the right mix of tools and technologies will result in a much higher fraud detection rate. This helps cut overall losses for an insurer and will translate into more-accurate pricing, competitive edge and lower premiums for policyholders.
