Gartner names SAS a leader in 2014 Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools
Gartner Inc.’s November 26, 2014 Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools places SAS among its Leaders quadrant, based on SAS’ completeness of vision and ability to execute. This is the ninth consecutive year that SAS has been included.
“It’s estimated that up to 40 percent of all strategic processes fail because of poor data quality,” said Matthew Magne, Global Product Marketing Manager for Data Management at SAS. “SAS has data quality built into every aspect of our solutions, ensuring that both business and technical users can turn their data into insights without fear that bad data has led to poor business decisions.”
According to the report, “Given the scale and complexity of the data landscape, across organizations of all sizes and in all industries, tools to help automate key elements of this discipline continue to attract more interest and to grow in value. As such, the data quality tools market continues to show substantial growth, while also exhibiting innovation and change.”
Organizations are increasingly using data as an asset across multiple business units. “SAS is known for its usability and multidomain capabilities in addition to business-facing functionality and information stewardship support. This helps ensure that everyone within an organization can trust their data, whether they’re managing big data, building out a data governance program, or preparing data for analytics, reporting or visualization.” added Magne.
SAS Data Quality profiles, standardizes, enriches, monitors and verifies data where it lives. Limiting data extraction and movement results in a significantly faster, more secure process. SAS enables organizations to manage the entire data quality lifecycle. With data constantly flowing in and out of businesses, SAS can establish repeatable processes to build and maintain high-quality data.
