SAS is one of the best employers in Switzerland

SAS once again ranks among the top Best Workplaces in Switzerland

SAS is a mainstay among the best employers in Switzerland: In the 2017 Best Workplaces in Switzerland ranking, the Swiss subsidiary of US-based software manufacturer SAS Institute has been awarded third place in the category for businesses with up to 49 employees. This award comes in recognition of the company’s especially healthy corporate culture. The Best Workplaces have especially high employee satisfaction and are very attractive places to work. The award ceremony took place on May 4 in Kaufleuten in Zurich.

The ranking is generated by the Great Place to Work Institute Switzerland using anonymous employee surveys covering topics such as leadership, trustworthy collaboration, career development, compensation, and general satisfaction.

“Since the founding of SAS over 40 years ago, our philosophy has always been that only satisfied employees are able to achieve sustainable success for the company,” explained Dr. Patric Märki, Vice President SAS Region DACH. “How that’s defined is constantly changing. The situation today is very different than 1976. That’s why we are constantly changing our activities and services and developing new ones so that our employees are able to balance their work and private lives. I’m very pleased to once again see our success in this area re-affirmed.”

“The effort to create an outstanding place to work, to offer as much flexibility as possible, and to ensure lifelong learning have always characterized SAS,” explained Dorothea Schwalbach, Senior Director Human Resources North and Western Europe. “We don’t do that to see ourselves at the top of the rankings, but rather to benefit our employees and ensure the success of the company. To see that reflected in black-and-white in the ratings from the Great Place to Work Institute is a great validation of our work.”

SAS regularly earns the highest employer rankings in numerous countries around the world. For instance, the company placed second in the October 2016 Great Place to Work ranking among the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces, and in Baden-Württemberg, SAS even made it to the very top among employers of its size in 2017.
