JP (Johann) Myburgh is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Business Mathematics and Informatics® (BMI) at North-West University’s Potchefstroom Campus in South Africa. Helgard Raubenheimer is an Associate Professor in the Centre for BMI, at the North-West University. He received a Ph.D. in Risk Analysis from the North-West University. His main research interest is in quantitative risk management and includes market and operational risk, credit risk, fixed income portfolio optimisation and model validation.
He lectures enterprise-wide risk management and practical risk management to post graduate students. He has also supervised several master degree students on their industry research projects, is involved in industry directed research projects and is an author and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed papers. Jonathan is a risk modelling and credit analytics manager at African Bank. He previously worked at Absa, Nedbank and Standard Bank Group covering various topics including Response Models, Propensity Models, Credit Risk Models in the Unsecured Lending space, Customer Segmentation and ad-hoc analysis.
