Bhartesh holds an MBA from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor Of Science (Hons.) in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University. He has over 18 years of banking experience with multiple financial institutions in various capacities and in different locations. Bhartesh has in-depth experience in the financial services industry covering corporate finance, corporate banking, transaction banking, wealth management, bancassurance, product management and retail banking. He previously worked for Midland Bank (HSBC), UK; Standard Chartered Bank, Kenya, Botswana and Singapore; and Citibank, Africa. Bhartesh’s immediate former roles were Head of Retail Banking SCB Kenya and East Africa and Head Of Digital banking, Africa. Bhartesh joined Equity bank in 2015.

Elize has been part of the Standard Bank Group for a combined period of 13 years across different Business Units where she has driven a number of strategic initiatives.

JP (Johann) Myburgh is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Business Mathematics and Informatics® (BMI) at North-West University’s Potchefstroom Campus in South Africa. His focus-area at BMI is the postgraduate programme in Business Analytics / Data Science. Johann holds an M.Sc BMI degree with specialization in Data Mining. Prior to joining the Centre for BMI, he worked at Absa Bank (now known as Barclays Africa Group Limited) in the fields of customer analytics and direct marketing.

Urvi Patel is an Associate Director in the Risk Advisory team of Deloitte East Africa. She has over 9 years of experience in providing risk advisory services to various clients in the financial services industries around risk management and technology assurance services. She recently took up the role of overseeing the Data Analytics practice in East Africa. In this capacity she has worked with various financial institutions in the region to provide data analytics services touching on information management and insight driven decision making.
